What if you had 37 days left to live? How would you spend each of those days? What would be meaningful, what would fall away as insignificant? When Patti's stepfather was diagnosed with lung cancer, she helped her mother care for him at home. As he slipped away, a little more each day, she wondered what she could do for him. She struggled to understand what he might be feeling, what he might like to talk about, what he might like to do, during his final days. She was there with him when he died, 37 days later. When a very bad thing happens to you or someone you care about, life calls you to make a choice in how you will respond. Patti's response was to try to make something good, out of something bad. She started the
37days blog, where she writes as much as she can, publishing her thoughts and memories, fears and dreams. She shares her perspectives and philosophies on life in a documented journey through each day of her life. A legacy for her daughters to hold, after their mother has lived the last day of her 37 days. Patti's
37days blog recently won the
Best of Blogs award for most inspirational blog.
37days is an inspiration, because in truth, no one knows when the first day of the last 37 days begins. Patti's message: Live each day well, with meaning.
